SMPS Tampa Bay is set for an exceptional year, building on the significant growth, engagement, and enthusiasm of the past two years. Our Board of Directors is dedicated to amplifying this momentum by developing a comprehensive three-year strategic plan. This plan aligns with the overarching vision of the Society: transforming business through marketing leadership.

At the heart of our strategic plan lies our dedication to providing unparalleled value and resources to our membership, guided by insights into the evolving role of marketers in the A/E/C industry, the needs of our members and volunteers, and the essential steps for continuous improvement.

Our plan revolves around three fundamental pillars:

1.   Provide Mentorship & Professional Development Opportunities to Entry Level Marketers.
2.  Become a Resource for Marketing and Business Development Leaders.
3.  Elevate the Role of A/E/C Marketers and Foster Industry Collaboration.

Provide Mentorship & Professional Development Opportunities to Entry Level Marketers:

Launching a career in A/E/C marketing presents challenges, especially for entry-level marketing coordinators. How can one distinguish themselves in a competitive market? What metrics define success? How can effective collaboration with technical staff and other departments be facilitated? SMPS Tampa Bay is committed to empowering entry-level marketing coordinators through targeted educational and mentorship initiatives. These programs equip coordinators with the skills and knowledge needed to excel within their firms and advance in their careers.

Become a Resource for Marketing and Business Development Leaders:

We aim to become a vital resource for marketing and business development leaders by hosting regular networking events to build professional relationships and facilitating client-facing panels for industry discussions and client engagement. Our high-level programming will include workshops and training on advanced topics to support members' career advancement. We will foster an environment that encourages the exchange of innovative ideas through collaborative projects, and provide clear pathways to leadership roles within our organization. Additionally, we will offer targeted training and mentorship to develop members' leadership skills, empowering them to drive positive change and inspire their teams.

Elevate the Role of A/E/C Marketers and Foster Industry Collaboration:

SMPS Tampa Bay aims to elevate the role of A/E/C marketers by positioning ourselves as the premier resource for marketing and business development expertise in our industry. Through strategic partnerships with other industry organizations and the expansion of our membership base, we will provide members with access to a vast network of peers and mentors.
