Over the course of the last week we have been learning as much as we can about the coronavirus (COVID-19) and its impact on not only our county, but the world. SMPS takes the health and safety of its members and the community very seriously.
Due to the quick escalation of COVID-19, as confirmed by the Center for Disease Control (CDC) and the Florida Department of Health (FDH), SMPS Tampa Bay Chapter has decided to postpone all scheduled events through the begining of May 2020. This includes the 11th Annual Healthcare Symposium scheduled for May 1st.
We will be closely monitoring the situation over the next couple months for updates, inlcuding guidence from the CDC, local, and state officials. Members will be updated when events are rescheduled. Additionally, the chapter is exploring expanding virtual learning opportunities. If you have any suggestions, please share with Jenni Nix McGerald.
We hope that everone will continue to follow precautions to stay safe and help keep the virus from speading.
Thank you for your continued support of SMPS Tampa Bay Chapter. We look forward to seeing you all again soon!
Adapting to Continue Learning
In these extraordinary times, our ability to adapt to changes quickly will determine how successful we are as marketing professionals. As soon as we learned that SERC had been cancelled because of COVID-19, we knew the rest of the scheduled SMPS Tampa Bay programs would suffer the same fate and justifiably so, since the health and safety of our members and community is our primary concern. At this time, we realize the importance of offering to our members the continued benefit of remote educational webinars. We moved quickly to add the March 24 webinar Secrets of Success: Managing a Decentralized Marketing Team to our website to enable registration for members and guests. Understanding that, following the recently laid out guidelines, many of you have already or will be transitioning to working from home we urge to take advantage of this additional resource for continued learning that will be also available for the April 07 webinar Defining Your Firm’s Value Path and the May 19 webinar Work Smarter, Not Harder with Effective Marketing.
Webinar: Secrets Of Success: Managing A Decentralized Marketing Team
March 24, 2020
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
During the past four years, Jen has transformed her regional marketing team from a fully decentralized model with one marketer in each office to a collaborative, hybrid model where marketers sit in a variety of offices but work seamlessly together on projects across the region. She’ll discuss how to determine which model is best for your firm, how to garner buy-in from leadership on moving to the model, and best practices for leading any team that spends very little time physically together.
Webinar: Defining Your Firm's Value Path
April 07, 2020
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
There are four distinct categories of value development: functional, operational, transformational, and inspirational. Most professional service firms already deliver functional value, but what does it take to deliver operational value, or even a value that can transform a client’s project? In this webinar, we’ll review each of these categories and discover how delivering value can move your firm into increased revenue.
Webinar: Work Smarter, Not Harder With Effective Marketing
May 19, 2020
2:00 PM - 3:30 PM
During our May webinar, learn how to transition from a reactive approach to a proactive model of planning and implementation. This approach allows you to prioritize projects and think about your firm’s success not only in the short term, but in the long run.
